The sixth session Guizhou Province minority ethnic arts festival was held in Guiyang on Oct 30th, 2017. Large original national folk dance drama "Shoot Back Card" presented its first show in festival.
The biggest highlight of this drama is stage lighting, this is also a breakthrough. The lighting designer attempted to use three in one computer lighting in this drama--- ACME XP-16R BSW.
XP-16R BSW is with advantages of a small size, light weight, and multi-function. The lighting designer can install the lights in large quantity, and the light position is flexible and changeable. In this way, it brought the unexpected effect and provided the appropriate color rendering for the stage art.
The stage design got the image elements from the back card, and after combination of the image elements, this made the stage present several level and provide rich performance space for actors. In this process, it used lots of reflective materials, through the combination of materials and lights, the single scenery became rich color changes, and each scene had a unique charm.
“Shoot Back Card” is based on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of “Gaopo Miao Nationality Shoot Back Card” from Gaopo Village Huaxi District Guiyang City. After several years of folk songs and team effort, the intangible cultural heritage in the museum was presented on the stage through an innovation way.
The chief director of “Shoot Back Card” and our famour young director Lu Rui said: “Shoot Back Card” is a love story, through the continuous migration of Miao nationality and the description of war, to show the loyalty of love, loyalty and integrity of the nation. It is also singing the praises of love, and a celebration of life. At the same time, I hope that through this drama, to the material more and more rich, more and more empty spirit, more and more fragile modern people brought thought-provoking enlightenment.
